This game is not just for the kids. I bought this game for myself for my 35th birthday last week. Got it out Friday night and my 30 year sister and I danced for 4 hours! We had a blast competing against each other, we are both competitive but it was just plain fun competition. There were 8 of us there that night and all but 2 of us took turns dancing away. Then on Saturday night they threw me a party for my birtday and again we got the game out and my sister and I took on the others at the party. This game was definately a hit with all of us there. The only downfall is that there are only about 30 songs and this game would just be that much more fun with about 20 more songs. I hope they come out with a Just Dance 2, I will be the first one in line at the store to get it! It is also definately a great aerobic workout if you get into it.

I really wanted to like this game. I love rhythm games for the Wii, and all the reviews pointed to this one being the best. But this game was a total failure. After a half hour of dancing with a silhouette set against a plain background a la those old iPod commercials to songs that were popular before my mother was out of her grade school years, I had had more than enough of this game. There is little to no customization options, the songs were not any I would consider danceable and it was hard to follow the movements on the dark screen, even if I was thrilled about learning the dances my grandmother did at her prom. I have a BA in Linguistics and Rhetoric and I can think of no better description of this game than LAME.

If you are looking for a good dancing game that will keep you interested, I would suggest looking at the We Cheer series, as the steps are more complicated and interesting, and the soundtrack is more modern dance club than golden oldies. Plus, those games use both controllers so it is easier to get your whole body moving, and the bright "cheery" themes are much more entertaining to look at while you dance. Perhaps I dislike Let's Dance so much because I found We Cheer first.

I agree with most everyone else, there's just not enough songs. It's impossible to make the controllers do what they want for perfect points also, but as others have said, it's not really that big of a deal. As long as your up moving and having fun, that's what counts and this delivers. (just not enuff of it...)
